New Delhi, September 11, 2026: ReNew, India’s leading clean energy and decarbonisation company, has partnered with Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan, one of India’s foremost Kathak exponents, to present Fractured Harmonies: A Call for Renewal — a powerful artistic exploration of humanity’s relationship with nature and our shared responsibility towards the planet.

Staged at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi, on Thursday, 10 September, the production wove together classical dance, music and visual storytelling to reflect on pressing environmental challenges — from the degradation of rivers and forests to humanity’s expanding footprint beyond Earth. The evening was graced by Stefan Priesner, UN Resident Coordinator in India, as Chief Guest.

This collaboration extends ReNew’s commitment to taking the clean energy and climate conversation beyond the energy sector. At the heart of this effort is Clean Energy Humse Hai, ReNew’s campaign that makes the clean energy transition personal and relevant to every Indian. Built on the idea that clean energy is not just about technology or policy, but about all of us, the campaign seeks to inspire collective ownership of the choices shaping our future.

Conceived by Guru Dr. Shovana Narayan, along with her Asavari Repertory, Fractured Harmonies unfolds across four acts — exploring polluted rivers and seas, deforestation and its impact on communities, humanity’s growing presence in space, and the challenge of space debris. The performance culminates in Restoring Nature’s Harmony — a call to move from recognition to responsibility, and from awareness to collective action.

Drawing on the regenerative forces of Sooraj, HawaaurPaani, the production uses the vocabulary of Kathak to reflect on the interconnectedness of life and the possibility of renewal.

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India] : On the auspicious occasion of Nag Panchami and Sawan Somwar, the Akhil Bharatiya Yadav Mahasangh organised a special service initiative at Ujjain Mahakal, offering Mahaprasadi and pure bottled drinking water to devotees visiting the sacred city.

Sawan holds immense religious significance for devotees of Lord Shiva, while Nag Panchami is another important occasion marked by devotion and traditional worship. Jaisalmer/Ramdevra: Under the auspices of the Samajik Ekta Manch (Social Unity Forum), the historic 'Marwar Mahasammelan' was organized on Sunday at the holy pilgrimage site of Ramdevra in Jaisalmer. The grandest feature of this event was its historic 'Jal Samagam' (Water Confluence), where people from all castes and classes poured water brought from their respective homes into a single 'Sarvodaya Kalash' (Urn of Universal Upliftment) and took a solemn oath to completely root out casteism.

This was perhaps the first such occasion on the soil of Marwar where such a massive crowd gathered without the labels of caste or religion, engaging in deep brainstorming on meaningful societal issues. The main focus of the conference was centered on three key points: the eradication of unemployment, the abolition of casteism, and environmental conservation.

Historic Moment: 'Jal Samagam' and 'Sarvodaya Kalash' Around 1:00 PM, the most emotional and historic moment of the event, the 'Jal Samagam', was witnessed. Erasing the divides of caste, people from various communities brought water with them. All of this water was poured into a single urn as a symbol of unity and harmony, which was subsequently named the 'Sarvodaya Kalash'.

Industrialist Meghraj Singh Royal's Emphasis on Unemployment, Education, and Environment: Addressing the gathering, prominent industrialist and Chairman of the United Global Peace Foundation, Meghraj Singh Royal, clearly stated that unemployment is currently the biggest problem. Presenting a solid economic model, he stated that if just 10% of Rajasthan's barren land is given to the unemployed and farmers, 1 megawatt of electricity can be generated on 4 acres of land, yielding an annual income of ₹50 lakh. This model can provide direct employment to 4.5 million (45 lakh) people in Marwar and generate crores in revenue, with indirect jobs reaching into the millions.
Tourism and Revival of Traditional Arts: He shared his journey of putting Jaisalmer on the global tourism map in 1986 alongside Dr. Lalit K. Panwar. He explained how, starting from camel stables, he built a hotel industry that didn't just construct buildings but provided local Manganiyar singers, artisans, and dancers with a global platform and sustainable employment.
Scientific and Historical Explanation of Casteism: Launching a scathing attack on casteism, Royal said that in ancient times, 'caste' was identified not by birth but by skill and occupation (such as potter, barber, gardener). It was merely a work style, which was later twisted into the disease of 'casteism' by the British and politicians for their selfish motives. He compared casteism to the salty water of the sea, urging people to abandon it and create sweet water through the technology of hard work.
Tsunami of Technology (AI) and Warning of East India Company 2.0: He warned the youth that in the near future, technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) will snatch away jobs on a massive scale. Therefore, it is essential to preserve manual skills and traditional arts. Terming large corporate retail chains as the new "East India Company," he appealed to the public to stop ordering goods from foreign online companies and to support local traders and brethren instead; otherwise, 70% of the coming generations will be left unemployed.
Public Policy, Not Politics (Lokneeti, Not Rajneeti): Meghraj Singh Royal clarified that the purpose of this platform is not to form a political party. However, he called upon the public to send educated, capable youth who wear suits and ties and understand technology and the economy to the Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha, rather than uneducated leaders.

Vision of Humanity and Harmony - Dr. Vikrant Singh Tomar: Renowned motivator Dr. Vikrant Singh Tomar explained the significance of the name 'United Global Peace Foundation'. Interpreting the word 'United', he recalled India's great culture that embraced Parsis, Greeks, Christians, and Muslims with an open heart. Through a story of a blind man and a lame man trapped in a forest fire, he illustrated that in times of crisis—much like the fire of animosity burning in society today—we must become each other's support. Citing historical examples, he reminded the audience that Lord Ram ate the half-eaten berries of Mata Shabari, and the supreme societal positions given to Maharishi Valmiki and Mahatma Vidur prove that karma (deeds) is paramount. He recalled Marwar's social fabric, where from birth to death, every auspicious and religious function sees the equal and respectful participation of all castes like Nai (barber), Suthar (carpenter), Manganiyar, etc. Bhati urged the youth to avoid the 'digital cocaine' of social media and have the courage to call out what is right.

Solutions Along with Problems - Mukesh Meghwal: UGPF Manager Mukesh Meghwal, in an emotional address, shared that to prepare this unity platform, he toured the villages and hamlets of Marwar for three months, inviting all 36 communities. He emphasized that Shri Meghraj Singh Royal doesn't just point out society's problems but implements concrete solutions. Hotel management training for 100 youths at Suryagarh with a monthly stipend of ₹25,000, funding marriages for poor daughters, and providing free education for 700 children through the foundation are living examples. Hard Work is the Real Prestige - Sant Omdas Maharaj: Sant Omdas Maharaj stated that a person's prestige comes not from their money or position, but from their Purusharth (hard work/effort). Praising the selfless service of Shri Meghraj Singh, he remarked that he is 'Royal' not just on the outside, but on the inside as well. The saint honored the sacrifices made by the ancestors of the Meghwal community (such as Raja Ram Meghwal, Manana ji, etc.) for water and society during the historical construction of Pushkar, Pichola, and Mehrangarh. Runners from 25 Cities Welcomed by Raipur Amid Energetic Cheer from Youth Icon Rannvijay

Raipur: On Sunday morning, the streets of Raipur transformed into a vibrant celebration of fitness and sporting spirit as thousands of participants came together for the SK Raipur Marathon 2026. Organized by Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha and the Indian Institute of Event Management (IIEMR), in association with SK Finance and South Eastern Coalfield, the event infused the city with energy, discipline, and enthusiasm. Beginning as early as 4:00 AM, more than 10,000 runners from 25 cities participated across multiple race categories, making it a grand sporting spectacle.

The marathon was officially flagged off by Chhattisgarh Police IG Badrinarayan Meena, Income Tax Commissioner Shravan Meena, along with youth icon Rannvijay, whose presence added excitement to the event. Jaipur : A three-day Chadar Mahotsav and Dadaguru Iktisa Paath will be organized in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, from March 6 to 8, 2026. Preparations at the festival venue are in full swing. The grand event will be inaugurated by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat.

The highlight of the festival will be the historic global resolution on March 7, when 10.8 million devotees across the world will simultaneously recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath. The event is being organized under the aegis of the Dadagurudev Shri Jindattsuri Chadar Mahotsav Committee. Representatives from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Spiritual and Service Institutions, Vidya Bharati, and several socio-cultural organizations will participate.

Around 400 saints from various Indian traditions and nearly 20,000 devotees are expected to attend the three-day event.

First Formal Abhishek After 871 Years

According to Chairman Mangal Prabhat Lodha, this initiative is not merely a religious ritual but a global movement of faith, unity, and spiritual awakening. At a designated time, devotees across India and abroad will recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath simultaneously, creating a collective wave of spiritual consciousness worldwide.

For the first time in 871 years, the sacred Chadar of Dadagurudev Shri Jindattsuri will undergo a formal ceremonial Abhishek. Prior to this, the Chadar will be brought in a grand procession (Varghoda) from the Jaisalmer Fort to the festival venue. On March 8, Upadhyay Mahendrasagar Maharaj will be conferred the title of Acharya.

Global Participation in the Collective Recitation

Prakash Chandra Lodha, National Chairman of the Dadaguru Iktisa Program, stated that the central attraction of the three-day Chadar Mahotsav (March 6–8, 2026) will be the historic collective recitation by 10.8 million devotees worldwide on March 7. Devotees across countries will participate simultaneously, spreading spiritual energy globally.

Key Programs Over Three Days

March 6: The festival will commence with the ceremonial entry of Gachchhadhipati, Acharyas, Upadhyays, and revered saints. A religious assembly will be addressed in the presence of RSS Chief Mohan Rao Bhagwat. A commemorative coin and special postal stamp for the Chadar ceremony will be released. In the evening, a live theatrical presentation based on the life of Dadagurudev will be staged for the first time.

March 7: A grand Chadar procession will begin from Jaisalmer Fort. Subsequently, 10.8 million devotees worldwide will recite the Dadaguru Iktisa Paath. The Chadar Abhishek and puja will take place in the afternoon. A cultural evening featuring renowned musicians will be held as part of the Bhakti Mahotsav.

March 8: Upadhyay Mahendrasagar Maharaj will be elevated to the position of Acharya, along with a Ganini title ceremony. On the same day, sacred water (Aok Jal) and Vasakshep associated with the Chadar will be distributed among devotees.

Massive Dome Tents Under Construction

Mahendra Singh Bhansali, President of the Jaisalmer Jain Trust, informed that large dome tents have been under construction for a month at the Dedansar Ground in preparation for this historic Jain community event. A museum is also being set up at the venue. Approximately 20,000 devotees of Dadaguru Jindattsuri from across India and abroad are expected to attend. Jaisalmer district is considered an extremely significant religious site for the Jain community.

Sacred Chadar: A Symbol of Unwavering Faith

According to Organizing Committee Secretary Padam Tatia, the first Dadaguru, Acharya Shri Jindattsuri, is regarded as a great 11th-century spiritual leader. As per tradition, his last rites were performed in Ajmer on land granted by King Arnoraj. During the cremation, the miraculous event of the Chadar not burning became a symbol of divine grace and remains a center of deep faith for devotees.

Historical records state that about one and a half centuries ago, the Maharawal of Jaisalmer brought this Chadar from Anhilpur Patan to mitigate a devastating epidemic. Currently, the sacred Chadar is preserved at Shri Jinbhadra Suri Gyan Bhandar inside Jaisalmer Fort. The Chadar Mahotsav is organized based on this revered tradition.

National Scholarly Seminar

On March 7 and 8, 2026, a National Scholarly Seminar will be held on the theme: “Contribution of the Dadaguru Tradition to India’s Cultural Unity, Social Harmony, and Integration.”

Institutions including Jodhpur University, Rajasthan University, Prakrit Bharati Institute, and the Centre for Society and Cultural Studies will participate as knowledge partners. Various Acharyas, Jain monks and nuns, and subject experts will be present.

Transgender athlete Nandini Sindhi rises from struggle to national glory in Ice Stock Sport and now dreams of representing India at the international level.

Born and raised in Jaipur, Nandini Sindhi, a proud member of the transgender community, has become an inspiring symbol of courage, determination, and sporting excellence. Her life—marked by hardship, discrimination, and relentless struggle—has transformed into a story of resilience after she won multiple medals in Ice Stock Sport, including the prestigious National Gold Medal in 2025.

Nandini’s early life was filled with challenges. She lost both her parents at a very young age, leaving her responsible for supporting her entire family. While other children enjoyed carefree lives, she carried emotional and financial burdens far beyond her age. Growing up as a transgender child in a conservative society, she faced taunts, humiliation, exclusion, and discrimination. She was denied dignity, denied acceptance, and even denied employment opportunities simply because of her gender identity. With no support and no job prospects, she was forced to beg on trains just to survive.

During one of her most difficult phases, a member of the transgender community helped her understand the realities of society and the importance of inner strength. She later found shelter through Garima Greh NGO, but when the center shut down unexpectedly, she again faced uncertainty. Eventually, she joined the broader transgender community, yet the discrimination did not stop.

Determined to create a life of dignity for herself and others, Nandini began taking care of displaced transgender children and youth through the space earlier managed by Garima Greh’s Sartar Home. During this time, she met Msk Pankaj, a mentor from Garima Greh who played a crucial role in transforming her life. He introduced her to dance training and continued to guide her with genuine care.

Nandini recalls this turning point with deep gratitude:

“It was Msk Pankaj Sir who first told us about Ice Stock and took us to learn it. We all first met at the Garima Greh shelter home, where he used to train children for free in dance, singing, and other activities. Later, he called Manish Sir to teach us this sport and spoke to the Ice Stock Director to waive our fees. He gave us a chance to move forward and requested the association to support us. I thank him from my heart—no one does this much for transgender people.”

Through this support system, Nandini met Ice Stock Director Sakshi Sharma and coaches Sameer and Manish Bhati, who believed in her potential. Their guidance became the bridge between her struggles and her rising sports career.

Her journey in Ice Stock Sport began in 2024 when she won a Silver Medal at the District Championship. She soon advanced to the State Championship, winning Gold, and later competed in the 11th National Ice Stock Championship 2025 in Gulmarg, Jammu & Kashmir, where she secured Silver and Bronze among participants from 22 states.

But Nandini’s dream was clear—she wanted national gold.

On 12 August 2025, at an Ice Stock State Championship hosted by Vivekananda Global University, she achieved two Gold Medals. With renewed confidence, she competed in the Samar Stock National Championship 2025 in Agra, where athletes from 14 states participated. In a tough final match against Gujarat, Nandini and her team secured a spectacular victory by 8 points, finally winning the National Gold Medal she had worked so hard for.

Today, Nandini aims to represent India on the international stage and bring home a gold medal for the country. IDRC’s 4th Arbitration in India Conclave 2025, Law Min. Meghwal, HMJ Manmohan, Sh. OP Dhankar & Ors

New Delhi [India], November 7: The Indian Dispute Resolution Centre (IDRC), in collaboration with the Bar Council of India’s India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), successfully hosted the “4th Arbitration in India Conclave 2025” at the India International Centre, New Delhi. Supported by CIArb and Vienna International Arbitration Centre, Austria. The Conclave brought together judges, legal luminaries, policymakers, and senior practitioners to deliberate on the theme “Autonomy and Accountability in Arbitration: Institutional Arbitration is the Way Forward.”

Hon’ble Union Minister for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, delivered the keynote address, outlining the Government’s reform-oriented vision for ADR. Stating that “Arbitration, Mediation, and Conciliation are essential tools for strengthening India’s justice delivery and economic growth.” Citing the Mediation Act, 2023 and the forthcoming amendments to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, he said these initiatives would “make India a preferred seat for both domestic and international arbitration.”

Shri Meghwal remarked that ADR mechanisms reflect India’s cultural and legal heritage, noting that “from Lord Krishna’s mediation in the Mahabharata to today’s institutional mechanisms, India has always valued resolution through dialogue and alternative modes.” He called upon arbitration institutions to ensure accessibility, affordability, and integrity, noting that “judicial intervention should be limited, and efficiency must define India’s dispute resolution landscape.”

Hon’ble Justice Manmohan, Supreme Court, in his valedictory address, called for institutional arbitration to evolve as a transparent and predictable system.
Praising IDRC’s achievements, noting that the Centre had conducted over 3,000 arbitrations in five years and has become a “symbol of India’s commitment to establish an efficient and credible ADR ecosystem.”

Justice Manmohan observed that “Courts must act as facilitators, not barriers, to arbitration. Excessive judicial interference erodes the very purpose of alternative dispute resolution.”
Highlighting the benefits of Institutional Arbitrations over ad hoc proceedings, he went on to suggest that a moratorium should be placed on all ad hoc arbitrations for a certain period so that institutional arbitration can be strengthened. Referring to the Justice BN Shrikrishna Committee Report, he said India should promote arbitration institutions to become a global ADR hub.

He proposed strict timelines for enforcing awards under Sections 34 and 37 of the Arbitration Act to ensure time-bound disposal of arbitration challenges. The Hon’ble Judge also urged the Government to revisit the Finance Ministry’s circular restricting arbitration only to disputes valued less than Rs. 10 Crore, stating that “the Government must remain a part of the arbitration movement, not apart from it.”

Mr S.D. Sanjay highlighted that “institutional systems help prevent arbitral fee abuse, avoid delays and promote fairness.”

Ms Shruti Sabharwal noted that “structured oversight, award scrutiny, and ethical accountability make institutional arbitration inherently superior to ad hoc ones”

Mr Ayush Agarwala added that “efficiency, diversity among arbitrators, and digital adoption will determine the future success of arbitration in India.”

Delivering the Welcome Address, Ved Prakash Sharma, Advocate and Co-Chairman, BCI applauded the growing role of arbitration in modern dispute resolution. He highlighted the collaboration between BCI and IDRC, stating that their joint efforts have been “instrumental in promoting awareness, education, and reforms that strengthen India’s arbitration ecosystem.”

TRAI Launches Pilot Project for Digital Consent Management in Partnership with RBI and Banks

New Delhi, 16^th June, 2025: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has observed that a large number of spam complaints are made by the customers against the business entities from whom the consumers have earlier purchased goods or services. On investigation, such business entities often claim that they possess the consent of the consumer for receiving commercial calls and messages.

Under the regulatory framework defined by the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018, an entity can make commercial communications to a consumer irrespective of his/her Do Not Disturb (DND) preferences provided the entity has taken explicit consent from the consumer. However, in many cases, these consents were collected through offline or unverifiable means, making it extremely difficult to ascertain their validity and genuineness. In several instances, consumers report that their mobile numbers have been acquired by the entities for this purpose through misrepresentation, deception, or unauthorized data-sharing practices.

TRAI has undertaken several innovative regulatory measures in recent years to curb such practices. These include allowing consumers to register complaints against unregistered telemarketers (UTMs) even without prior DND registration, and initiating large-scale disconnection of telecom resources being misused by the entities for spamming activities. However, verification of consent for commercial communication citing offline consent of consumer, remains a formidable challenge.

To address the issue, the regulations provide for acquiring consent digitally by the entities and registering them in a secure and interoperable digital consent registry maintained by the Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) for easy verification of consents while commercial communication is made to the consumers. However, for successful operation of this consent registration framework, onboarding of entities sending commercial communications is a necessary requirement.

Accordingly, to begin the national roll-out, TRAI has launched a Pilot Project in coordination with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) involving select banks and has issued a Direction on 13^th June, 2025, to all the Telecom Service Providers, mandating them to pilot this framework in collaboration with banks. Given the sensitivity of banking transactions and cases of financial frauds through spam calls, the banking sector has been prioritized for the first phase of implementation. This Pilot, running under a Regulatory Sandbox framework, will validate the operational, technical, and regulatory aspects of the enhanced Consent Registration Function (CRF) and lay the foundation for sector-wise scaling of the digital consent ecosystem.

TRAI remains committed to safeguarding consumer interest and enhancing trust in legitimate commercial communications. The Authority will continue to work with sectoral regulators and stakeholders to ensure that the ecosystem evolves towards more secure, transparent, and consumer-centric practices.

On the occasion of World Abdominal Cancer Day on May 19, under the initiative of Dr. Sandeep Jain, the founder of Abdominal Cancer Day, a series of global awareness events will be organized in association with the Institute of Event Management (IIEMR) under the theme Awareness is Power. As a curtain-raiser event, on Sunday, May 18, a Multi-City Walk will be held in over 25 cities worldwide to raise awareness about cancer. Dr. Naresh Somani, Director Oncology at HCG Cancer Center Jaipur and Dr. Abhishek Charan, Medical Oncologist, said that CAR T-cell therapy is proving to be very effective in the treatment of cancer patients. Recently, a patient has got life donation with this advanced technology. He told that the patient Neeraj (name changed), whose age is 63 years, was suffering from B cell lymphoma for the past few years. He took treatment from outside but after 6 months he was again affected by the disease. After that he consulted Dr. Abhishek Charan Medical Oncologist at HCG Cancer Center Jaipur and in his tests the patient was found to have stage IV lymphoma. After this the patient was treated with CAR T-cell therapy. After complete treatment, when the patient's PET CT was checked once again, according to the PET CT the patient is completely healthy and is living his normal life.

This is how the therapy works

Dr. Naresh Somani tells that in this therapy T cells are taken from the patient's blood and then with the help of a receptor the gene is combined with the T cells in the laboratory which targets a certain protein on the patient's cancer cells. This special receptor is called chimeric antigen receptor. In this, a large number of CAR T cells are modified in the laboratory and then infused into the patient. This therapy strengthens the patient's immune system to fight cancer. This therapy is the latest technology in the world, with which blood and lymphoma cancer can be easily defeated. This facility is available only at a few selected places in the world.

NCCF & Agribid Conducts Camp for Training & Registration of PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Society) at Delhi Road. The camp received 100+ PACS registrations from all over Rajasthan and is open for 2 more days.

In a significant move aimed at bolstering the cooperative sector and uplifting farmers across India, the Central Government, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is set to enhance the scope of Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS).

In order to address the shortage of food grain storage capacity in the country, the Government has approved the “World’s Largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector”, which is being rolled out as a Pilot Project in different states/UTs of the country.

The Plan entails creation of various agri infrastructure at PACS level, including setting up decentralized godowns, custom hiring center, processing units, Fair Price Shops, etc. through convergence of various existing schemes of the Government of India (GoI), such as, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure Scheme (AMI), Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) Pradhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME), etc. Under these schemes, PACS can avail subsidies and interest subvention benefits for construction of godowns/storage facilities and setting up of other agri infrastructure. Further, NABARD is also extending financial support to PACS by refinancing them at highly subsidized rates. Therefore, the plan aims to strengthen the economic condition of PACS by diversifying their business activities and giving them additional sources of revenue thus improving their financial sustainability.
